Just put a deposit on a first Generation Poly Caster. How did the updates fair on these units? I am upgrading from a tailgate spreader so I don't do a whole lot of volume. My dealer says this was a unit that had issues on its first run ( pre updated) and the contractor insisted on a different salter. He has since applied the updateds and now has it for sale. Is there anything I should be checking for?

I don't know exactly what the updates were related to the belt. I put two seasons on mine so far, no issues. Well, I did get a new motor and module the first month. Make sure your motor has the stainless steel case.

I like the spreader very well.
