Finally just went out and took some pics with my phone of my new to me 02 F350 (can't seem to find the expensive digital camera anywhere, sweet). Spent some cash and put on a new 8.5 ft Western V. First year every plowing with a V and dont think i'll ever go back to a straight blade. I almost forgot what it was like to plow with a truck that could actually move alot of snow in one push, plowed with a 05 Chevy 3500 2wd dump truck with a 9 ft blade and 5 speed manual the last two years. Still have a stick, 6 speed manual, but i'm just used to that, actually is a little wierd for me to plow with a automatic now.

I know its pretty dirty but just got done doing alot of salting and pushing slush.........

Gonna make some changes come sping. Chrome is going be gone. Bumpers and grille will be black. Rims soon too..... Pretty much like my old truck except no gray, all black

I wamt to do something to the F350 and POWERSTROKE emblems too. Don't think i just want to paint them straight black, thought i've seen them smoked brfore, kinda like they do to the taillights. gotta look into that some more though...

    Thanks Grassy.

Give me a shout when you get rid of your chrome bumper. I need a new rear one after yesterday.

I find it funny how some of you guys get so excited about a shiny truck. I've got several trucks and sure its nice to have them clean, but after working storm after storm, my attitude is who gives a ****.

So long as the trucks are maintained and fluid filmed, why the hell would I care if my bumper is chrome or plastic?? I've got much bigger issues and priorities to deal with.

    Who else agrees with me??

I'm a little more like that now than i used to be. Still though i just take alot of pride in my trucks. Just how i've always been. There usually cleaned once a week. And as far as the bumpers and stuff, i'm just not a fan of chrome. Like everything to be color matched. Everybody has that something that they are particular about, for me its my trucks...

To each his own though. Personally i don't get the ricer thing, at least the cavaliers and escorts. A '99 cavalier with a 2 ft wing, what the h#ll??? But thats what they're into so good for them....

    I CARE!! :waving:

I just got an F-550 and it has the plastic grill and front bumper. They will both be chrome by spring. I think they look nicer and are more noticeable. Nobody can actually say that given a choice the plastic one looks better than chrome or painted. As dumb as it may sound to some, nice shiny trucks get me more business. People around here like to see clean shiny kept up with equipment. I actually got a new doctors office parking lot this fall because the owner "didn't like the truck the other guy was using, it was all rusty and looked like junk." unfortunately too many people associate dirty or rusty trucks with unreliable junk. I know how reliable an old truck with a newer engine and tranny can be and how much cheaper, but my customers just care about what they see in there lots and drives.

I agree, a rust bucket is bad for business. However, your chrome bumper is getting you nothing more than my plastic one. I wish I was that bored to fret about such insignificant bs.

I work 60 hours a week running heavy equipment and own my own business on the side doing snow removal and lawn care, trust me dude i aint bored. You seem like your taking exception to some of us who are into customizing our trucks...

Wish i was bored enough to fret about people like me..............

i agree with an extent, but i still wash the crap off mine between storms and make sure its sprayed down with fluid film. my truck is a work truck so i dont waste time on making it look pretty anymore, it stays clean, and stock.
