I am new to this and have just purchased a used F250 with a Fisher Minute Mount, Dump, and sander. While looking over the equipment with a buddy we came across a leak(No big deal it's not new).
The question I have is should there be a filter in the return line from the control valve to the pump reservoir? the filter is leaking and it's no big deal to replace but, I am not sure it should even be there. It appears to be just a gas filter adapted to this application.

    Thanks for any insight.

yes you will want to replace that filter(P/N8764). There are no screens inside of the canister pump.
