I have an 87 f-250 that needed the drivers side axleshaft replaced. i am having trouble getting the spindle to go back on i have tried with the shaft all the way in the diff and with it out a little bit i cant get the ball joints to line up WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

? put the nuckle on the ball joints THEN put the shaft in.

with the axle shaft out put the steering knuckle on the balljoints
unbolt the spindle from the steering knuckle
insert axle shaft through the hole that the spindle left when you took it off.
put spindle on
put hub on

thats a good blowup of a dana 60 f350 front. but close to what you need.

knuckle first then shaft then spindle is the way.
