2003 Chivy 3/4 ton.

The idiot that ran one of the dual pipes to the drivers side ran it right over the pumpkin without enough clearance. Had the truck loaded and was hauling 1500lbs in the bed, no plow, and i can hear the tailpipe hitting the axle over bumps. Wasn't positive until I got out and saw that the parking brake cable had a little melting and the exhaust showed a rub spot. As well as the brake line took a little pinch.

What's the easiest thing to do with this aside from hacking it off behind the muffler. I considered taking it to an exhaust shop and seeing if they can raise it up a bit.

I'm going to buy some air bags regardless, but this issue is aside from that. I've got 4" of clearance from the bump stops and only 2" from the pumpkin to the pipe.

Plow trucks don't need dual exhaust hell they don't need any exhaust.

Chop it off, it's a beater with a heater

It ain't new. I bought it 2 years ago. It's a 20 year old pickup. The shop ended up getting it fixed and our weather warmed up so I wasn't in a pinch to either hack it off or fix it myself.

Should have it back today.
