So I've been going back and forth with National Maintenance Systems Inc on pricing out 120K sq ft. It is full of islands, medians, and moving and stacking snow will be difficult at best. They want per event pricing. Also, there is a large amount of sidewalks to clear and I figure two shovellers for two hours. Here are my figures:
    1-3 $300.00 and $90.00 for sidewalks
    3.1-6 $400.00 and $135.00 for sidewalks
    6.1-12 $1200.00 and $405 for sidewalks
12 inches + $132.00 per inch including sidewalks
    $250 rock salt de-ice
$165 for mag chloride pellets to de-ice sidewalks

    What they want to pay:
    1-3 $300.00
    3.1-6 $400.00
    6.1-12 $1200.00
    12 inches + $50.00 per inch
    $250.00 rock salt de-ice
$160.00 mag chlor pellets sidewalk de-ice
*sidewalks to be included in above pricing.

I will have two shovelers and at least one truck with straight blade/pro-wings dedicated to this lot. Per event based on total accumulation and not per push with a one inch trigger. Don't know for sure, but I think what I am asking for is fair. Any input is greatly appreciated.

    i think your fair.
    3 acres
1 acre an hour per truck
3 hours plowing = 100 bucks an hour for light snowfall

Thanks I thought I was too. I'm way sketchy on the twelve plus. I did find out that they will pay the twelve inch rate plus per inch after that. I still think that I need 100 per inch tho.

Made a mistake. They only want to pay 610.00 on 6.1-12 inches.

Just an observation, but if you get 6.1 inches of snow why does your price triple for .1 inch? Shouldn't there be another increment in there? 6.1 to 9 I mean I get the 11 or 12 inch snowfall price, but for .1 inches of snow the price shouldn't triple.

Well the management company sent their contract and they wanted it priced from 6.1-12. I am in agreement that they should have another three inch increment there. However, they do not. I will mention that to them and see if
we can come to terms. Good observation and thank you much c2505.
