Hello all, I ordered the buyers tailgate spreader the day before thanksgiving, received the spreader 29 days later. They had an issue with shipping address, but no one called me, i had to call them to ask where the spreader was. I get it, hook it up, doesnt work right, dumps material everywhere. I call equipment specialist back 2 days after i received it. I spoke with a guy named Nobel, said he was busy and said he would call me back by the end of day, he never called back like he promised so I call them back 2 days later. It took a week and a half of calling 2-3 times a day to get him on phone. He listens, says he doesnt have time to talk further, but will call me back before end of day the next at the latest. No call. I have called every day for 5 days now trying to return this spreader/exchange it. They will not take my call and keep giving me the brush off. Has anyone else had issues with them? Anyone work there that can help me out. They advertise the 30 day money back guarantee, and there stringing me along here. Ive spent some money with them the last 2 months and now i cant even get the guy that deals with returning items to take care of this!! Anyone else out there having issues, or had issues?

I tried to get a quote for a spread from them and they said they would get back to me with the quote... I never got it. It sounds like they could use a few more people on the phones. I will say people must be happy with them most of the time b/c they seem to always be busy?? I ended up getting my spreader from Angelos.

thanks buckweat I will give a shout, im surprised with the crappy service we have received, from the day i ordered it to trying to return and or exchange the dang thing. You would think that returning a phone call from a call center would be the easiest thing to do, especially when thats your job, accepting returns from online customers. I am really getting annoyed. Time to go back to local dealers. In the 10 years plus of serving customers, i have zero unresolved issues. I had to give more than i felt was right in some cases but they all said Thank you in the end.

I am right with you. Their prices are great but customer service SUCKS. I left 5 or 6 messages when i called and never got called back. I sent 3 e-mails to ESI trying to find out where the plow we ordered was and never got a reply from anyone. I do have to say that before i ordered my plow i talked to Jim via his e-mail and was always quick to reply back to me. Things just went to hell after they had our money.

I've made several purchases from ESI and each time I've been very happy with the results. Jim is a good guy to deal with and I doubt that you're intentionally being brushed off.

They'll make things right, I'm sure of it.

Im here and we will take care of the issue, obviously there are 2 sides to this story. I will not get into it here on the open forum as that wont do anyone any good. Yes we have been busy....overwhelmingly so. Is that an excuse, no but we do the best we can. Unlike the shops at the mall you cant just hire anyone off the street to answer questions and sell plow and spreader parts. If anyone needs anything please pm me and I will give you my cell phone, you can call me 24/7. Thanks Jim.

Got your pm, will get you an rma number tomorrow to return the spreader, again I apologize for everything,it is never our intention to brush anyone off. We had local 2 ft of snow which we only get every 10years or so, and because of that our attentions have been to the crowds of guys in the showroom buying parts ect, thanks Jim

I bought my plow in Oct with them with no issues. Great guys to deal with. But that was also pre season of course. I would suspect anyone trying to buy a plow mid storm is going to have poorer communication do to repair/parts guys and that most plow sales have been done for the year.

Ever been to the supermarket before a big football game? The chips you want are out and the lines are backed up. Yep it sucks.

Same thing going on here all the big shops have been hit hard with the large storms early in the season and the cold doesn't help either. Best thing to do is pre plan your purchases instead of waiting for snow on the ground to get them.

I agree with planning ahead, we did, but decided to add some more equipment as we added a few more customers right as the season started. Thank you to Jim at equipment specialists for handling and dealing with the confusion. Item is on the way, will have a tracking number tommorrow for ya. I really appreciate all that you did this am for us, And we understand when your busy on all fronts, the one who is standing in front of you takes priority. Thanks again Jim. Look forward to speaking with you in a week so to get that other spreader.

Yet another reason to buy local.
Sure you saved a few bucks ... but was it worth all the greif?
Had this been a local purchace, the unit would have been repaired or replaced a long time ago.
Not to mention the fact that you'd be supporting a local business that employs local people with local families paying local taxes that go back into your community.

Just an update fellas, jim at ESI has been a great help, we shipped the unit back and received the refund. We will definitely be using them again in the future, Thanks jim. Im glad some of you are getting good results from the buyers salt spreaders we however did not.
