engine surges and stumbles

    hi does anyone know which sensor would make your engine surge and stumble on idle? it a 88 chevy 2500 with a 350 tbi but the engine in it now has no egr valve. thanks, mike

    All of them could.

    If your getting a surge\stumble,I'd check fuel and spark first.Plugs,wires,cap,rotor,fuel pump,filter could all cause the problem you describe.

    Check the fuel pressure,and eliminate the ignition stuff first.Check for vacuum leaks too.If it all checks out OK,then you can pull the codes out of it to see if there are any stored.
