I am having a problem with my Service Engine Soon Light. About once a month, it will come on and stay on for a day then go out. Do you think this is a problem that will need to the code read or something that the computer is fixing? Also, what code readers do you guys use? I am interested in buying one, but don't know which one to go with. I am currently looking at the style that runs on a laptop. Any input on these?

    Thanks Matt

The year make and model,as well as some engine details would help in diagnosing your problem.

I have a Snap-On scanner. The laptop computer programs work OK,just they are very slow to refresh when looking at data sometimes. They will work OK for the home user.
