At work I use a '96 3500 V-10 and we are having problems with the E-brake foot pedal not engaging. It catches sometimes and not others. Is there a spring that I can replace or is it easier to just replace the whole foot engagement assembly? And if it is easier to replace the entire assembly, is it a PITA or pretty straightforward?

Mine's done that since it was a year old.Just won't stay engaged, and the release handle sticks out slightly.Haven't bothered to pull it down and look at it.Most of the parts are non-serviceable,you just buy a new assy and put it in.It's not a hard job, just an awkward place to work in.

try spraying penetrating oil up on the lever

most times lubricating the lever will help

    Thanks guys...
We've tried the lube things before, no luck....probably a bent/worn pawl.

    Thanks! :waving:
