Electric Vs Gas

    I plow for my local dot and am looking for a new spreader for my 1 ton dump.But don't know whether to go with the Smith electric, or the air-flo
    10hp briggs, any suggestions. i heard you can't really got much faster than 5mph with the elec.

    There was a post here earlier where they asked to rate the spreaders on order and it went hydraulic, electric and then gas. That shocked me because I thought the electric would be weak. I have never had one but I can tell you that the Air-Flow gas is very good as mine is 9 yrs old and still going. It is a SS though.
