e60 seal leaking

    The up/ down piston seal is leaking on my e60, anyone replaced this before? what kind of job is it

    It's not difficult at all. Get the manual on line and follow it. the seal you see on the top around the ram is only a wiper, the real seal is inside underneath the cover.

    If it is the seal on lift ram there should not be fluid below it. This means you have an internal seal leaking. The outer seal is only to keep dirt and water out.
