Just bought a E47 to get rid of a current troubled E47,and the problem with new on is it will not lift plow at all.It will angle fine but will not lift blade.If I unhook the chain it will lift just the arm but you can push it down with the slick stick in neutral position.I pulled the A-valve out,and there was a little screen on it,and it was loose on the shaft it seemed,is that normal?Also,when I 1st hooked new unite up the angle hoses were backward's from the unite I took off.All I did was change the end's of the hoses on the ram's to correct this problem.Why would it be different from my old E47?Could the A-valve be the problem?The o-ring on it looked okay,just tat little cone shape screen was loose?Please,any help would be great,It's suppose to snow tonight and sunday.

E47 wont lift??

Is that the part I took off with a 1-1/8 socket,and it has a white plastis ring and rubber o-ring on bottom of it,and it has the cone shaped screen on it?Is that screen sapose to to be loose?Is there anything to know about replacing?

E47 won't lift with plow chain hooked?

If the A-valve is stuck open will the plow be stuck in down position kinda?And this only letting the pump build enough pressure to lift just the lift arm it's self,and when I try to hook lift chain it can't lift because of A-valve being open.I need to learn this E47 as well as get it working.Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yea your thinking is correct... if the A valve is open when it shouldn't be, the pump can't build any pressure in the lift cylinder as the pressure will just escape back to the reservoir through the valve..

And the A valve is the one on the back near the bottom of the pump base..

The screens do get loose on them.. and can let debris in the fluid jam up the valve.

The screen moves all around on valve.It almost fall's off the valve.I will get new on at Napa in morning,and try t out.Thank You
