just wondering will replacing the motor make the pump angle and pick up faster?

the pump is fairly old and was in very rough shape when i got it, the motor has seized before and i cleaned it out and got it to work again.

the pump internals have been recently rebuilt at the beginning of the winter.

just kinda curious if putting a new motor will make a difference in speed?

No real way of saying for sure , depends on the condition of the rest of the components.

A newer motor should perform better , draw less amps , and run smoother than a well used motor , however if the gear pump is on it's way out and the pump already has low pressure , a new motor will not be the magic bullet .

If it was seized and you already free'd it up once , a new one will not be a bad idea anyway though.
