I could swear my Duramax is getting faster with age. It is about a year or so old, with about 17,000 miles on it. Is it just me? Anyone else? Is it possible?

Its very possible, especially of you dont tow a lot.Its just breaking in now.My cummins seems to run better now at 60K, i feel its just broken in now.I would expect your truck to keep gaining power for anopther 10K or so.I wouldnt switch to synthetic oil until then if you are going to switch at all.Diesels need a load to generate enough heat and cylinder pressure to break it in quickly.Run it hard,it will run good.
