I have a 86 F250 and the bed is rusting out. I ave a friend who has a 8' dump body new. Will the truck handle it? I can get it REAL cheap. I already put a dump hoist in it for the bed with a 4 ton capacity way more then the truck could ever carry. Thank for any help.

The frame will handle it as the 350 had the same frame. You may want to help out the already tires suspension. You could put timbrens or airbags in, but if it were me I would put F350 springs and then mount the 350 overloads as well. Essentially you will then have an F350 rear setup.

I have done this a couple times.

Another popular swap is to put a 350 solid front to replace the weak 250 TTB.
