Further proof that anything can be fixed with duct tape:

I went to lift the blade the other day and one of the pins holding up the light tower/lift frame snapped right off. It had rusted through. When it snapped the other half that didn't fall off stayed attached to the lift frame. It is rusted to the steel, I'll have to pry that out. I didn't have any extras of these (I do now) so I had to make do with what I had. Used a 10' roll of tape and one of the pins for the stand to reattach it to the link.

Then I also backed into a pile the other day and broke off the cover for the motor on the bottom of the tailgate salter:

Reminds me of the old saying, "If you can't duct it, f*#k it!"

Looks like you should have been using fluid film.

    duct tape and WD-40

If it moves and you don't want it to... duct tape. If it doesn't move and you want it to... WD-40

This truck is 18 years old. It belong to a Public works department and a couple private owners before I bought it. At this point there's probably more rust than there is paint on the frame of the plow/truck.
