Hey guys, I am new to the forum. I have a 2014 Silverado 3500 (gas) that has the plow package and a leveling kit. The plow I have is a Western Midweight 7'6". I just use it to plow my driveway but I am thinking about taking it to a lake that is about 4 hours away. I have driven it about 1.5 hours before without issue. I will be pulling a 20-ft ice house as well which will not allow the tailgate to stay down so I don't know if I can get it in the truck bed. Just looking for your opinions (pro and cons) of driving that far with the plow on. Thanks!

It is a light plow for your truck, so weight Should not be an issue. Engine temps might be a problem.

Do you have a transmission gauge? That would concern me, the most.

What is an Ice House?
It is basically an RV that is used for ice fishing. It has holes for fishing and lowers to the ice.

It will be fine. I have pulled a loaded enclosed with my 3500 SRW with a 9.6 MVP3 on the interstate at 75mph. If it don't overheat in the first 20 miles, it is not going to from my experiences.
As others had said, watch your temps, but these newer trucks seem to have that issue under control now.
