I have a customer that just got his driveway top coated with Ashpalt about 2-3 months ago and wants to know if Rock Salt would be harmful to his new driveway? I also can use Green Ice Melt as a more expensive alternative if you guy guys think this would be better.

I would have the customer double check with who ever layed the asphalt. I know with new concrete 1 month to 12 months no vendor will recommend using anything besides Pure CMA, and I am not talking about a rock salt based blend with CMA.
