Remember to take advantage of the 15% off all SnowBear snowplow accessories, this is a limited time promotion, so you better hurry! Click Here

Here are the recommended items to check before you begin plowing this season.

    • Check the condition of the scraper and skid shoes; replace if worn. A new poly scraper is available and has dual wear capability.

    • Inspect frame components (A Frames, winch frame, etc) for any signs of damage, rust, etc – repair any damage, touch up rust to prevent corrosion; lubricate any moving parts (A Frame locking pin, pivot bolt, release handle, frame pins, etc.) Tighten hardware if necessary.

    • Check the winch to ensure it is operating normally.

    • Inspect the strap for wear, replace if necessary – order a spare (or the Snowplow Emergency Kit) SnowBear recommends having a spare strap at all times.

    • Check plastic connectors and metal contacts for cracks or corrosion – lubricate with dielectric grease to prevent corrosion and improve conductivity.

    • Inspect wiring under the hood – ensure no wires are cracked, damaged, etc; ensure connections to the battery are clean and free of corrosion.

    • Ensure hitch pins have not been lost or misplaced since previous season – Order Snowplow Emergency Kit to have extra on hand.

    • Check vehicle mounts and cross member to ensure that components are in good condition, tighten hardware if necessary.

    • If plow is equipped with lights, ensure both lights are functioning and hardware is tight.

I would buy the emegency kit if it had parts for the winterwolf pro(ie: chain insted of strap, the hd spring clip, minus the winch release hook, & strap instructions) it also needs to have a pair of gloves in it!

Snowbear is certainly not ready! Still no mounts for 2011/2012 Chevy/GMC HD trucks. With the 2011's now out for over a year, this is ridiculous!!
