I have a 98' dodge ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.2. I was wondering if i could put an 8' fisher mm2 on it or if I would be better off just getting a 3/4 ton rig? Thanks.

I used to plow with a '96 1500 with a meyer 7'6" and last year I bought an '02 1500 and a Boss 7'6" standard plow and I love it. I also have a Snowex vee pro 3000 with sides on it. Works well for me.

I've had a Fisher 8 Foot MM on my Dodge 1500 since it was new. I had the tranny replaced under warranty once but since then I've plowed in Low Range with no further trouble. I installed front coil springs from a 1999 2500 diesel in the front to help with weight of the plow.
