Differences in '87-'88 K1500?

    88 is the year they went through headlight and front bumper changes. I am not sure about frame dimensions but my old 89 was the same mount as the 88 I now have. The 89 was a HD and my 88 is not but the frame went on exactly the same as it did on the 89 hole for hole. I only replaced the hardware.

    Well, I don't have experience with that mount, but he's right that 88 is when the redid the trucks. 87's had solid axle front suspension and 88's had IFS. Not saying it can't be done, but i'd bet you'd have pretty big job making that work.

    There is a differance in the frames, will take some fab work to make it fit but it can be done.
