    Whats is the difference between a 2 plug plow set up, and a 3 plug plow set up, aside from the extra plug. i am looking to get one, so i need to know which one for my truck. thanks. tom

    Besides all the wiring there basically are no differences. :D

    There's actually TWO 2 plug arrangements along with the three plug systems.

    The early systems were a 2 plug with no Isolation module..just relays.

    Next was the three plug system with the Isolation module mounted under the hood that basically "isolates" the trucks wiring from the wiring for the plow.

    And lastly there is the newest 2 plug system with mulitplexing like the Xtreme vee's, and XLS use for example.

    The old and new 2 plugs are not compatible...and of course the 2 and 3 plug systems are not compatible so be sure your getting all the correct components if your purchasing used. Gets expensive fast otherwise.
