Determining business usage %

    The tax tips raised a couple questions for me:

    How do you determine the % of business use on a truck? Is it based on time, mileage? A SWAG with enough paperwork backup to make your estimate possible?

    My personal truck is done by mileage but it doesn't matter on the other trucks as they are 100% business. :waving:

    Go out to your local wal-mart or any office supply store & pick up a simple vehical expence/milage log & USE IT. I tend to forget a lot of the time.

    Write down you start - stop milage, expences & there ya go...
    If you really wanna keep track of time the New GM's have HR meaters built in.
