cv or U-joints on a 90 K2500

    When I put my truck in 4wheel the front left wheel starts to click more and more the faster I go. It is also ruff when backing up. I am not sure wether or not the truck has CVjoints or Ujoints or both. What do you think the problem could be? Thanks for any info.

    If it is the newer body style of that time with IFS, then you have CV joints. Look for tears in the boots. Those things usually last until the boot tears and water gets in.
    Replace the whole half shaft. not a bad job if you have you have any experience....Chuck
