How are you explaining to your customers that salt prices sky rocketed? We almost always have businesses return every year, but this year they are questioning our prices. How are you keeping businesses returning with prices this outrageous? Should I contact them personally or send a letter explaining why our prices are what they are? Anything is helpful.

The salt prices are high for everyone unless you bought enough last year to get through this year also. Sending a letter will help and let them check around a little. If you have good customers they will understand.

Yes and yes. You have to educate your customers....that is if they'll allow you to.

That's the real frustrating part. They don't want to be bothered with our problems, nor do they have time for details. Many property managers and other type of clients think they're mulch smarter than the service providers they hire.

Many of them are in for a rude awakening.

Mine didn't skyrocket. Small increase, no big deal!
