I have had a couple people ask about our demo trucks. Here is a better picture of one.
Most customers do cut some type of rubber belt or material to fill in that gap. That is actually designed into the spreader, the idea is that there is some room for large items to drop through and that a "spilling" a little will help pull down material should anything clump up in the hopper.jeffw;339520 said:how do you demo that spreader? looks like the bottom half is missing, in fact im sure of it
hahahah nice rig seen that in person when i was up there picking up our new spreader... now if it would just do something i could us it.
here is a million dollar question for you, inside the v box front end where the chain pulls the salt why is there such a big opening? the salt falls out on its own. not sure if all are like that but its silly. we cut some converor belt to fit inside the v and close that off and nothing comes out from where it is not supsed to.

We actually use a distributor to handle our products in the Michigan area. You can contact them at http://www.greatlakessnowplows.com/ . They would know if there is a demo truck with a V-plow on it in your area. Generally we don't keep a V-plow on our trucks all-year-long due to the amount of highway driving and most of our trucks are 3/4 ton.fordboy;339533 said:can you tell me if you have any demo trucks up in michigan, I have been thinking of buying a v-plow and have been looking at the boss plows, but currently have a curtis 8' trip edge that I am happy with so have considered a curtis v plow (that way I would not have to change all the mounts and wiring over) but would like to see one run before I committed to purchasing one, thanks for the info, Aaron
Oh, by the way the police really prefer that we keep the bottom chute off the spreaders when driving around in the summer, something about being able to see the license plate or something.jeffw;339520 said:how do you demo that spreader? looks like the bottom half is missing, in fact im sure of it

......funny you mention that, we did get the idea from purcasing a HD truck some years back, it's actually used in our catalogs and on our website. Since they no longer make that style/color combo we had to paint our own. The new trucks we put on the road this year actually use a vinyl wrap.Jt13speed;339718 said:Nice truck. Kind of looks like the Harley Davidson trim paint job but i dont see any badging? Is it a custom paint job?
