Just Thought I'd Throw A Question Out There Wondering What A Boss 8'2" Poly V- Plow Costs Installed In Your Area....seeing If The Location Really Matters From State To State.

The Reason I Ask Is I Was Traded A 8'2" Steel V-blade (looks Brand New) Booought In Jan Of This Year And Have No Mount Or Wiring So I Was Just Going To Sell What I Have Which Is Blade Only Then Just Buy A Whole New Set-up In (poly)and Was Pounding Numbers To See What I Could Get For The Blade Only(steel).

What Do U Guys Think?? HERES A PIC OF IT WHATS IT WORTH???

About a month ago I checked around in my state (Indiana) and these are the prices I was quoted brand new from a dealer:

    Boss 8'2 Steel V plow $4400.00
Installation there was a special for $300.00

I believe the Poly was an additional $400.00 or $600.00 bucks.

If you have any thoughts on what you may be asking email me at mderzio@sbcglobal.net
Something like that is what I am looking for!

I know it doesn't matter to you guys but I just priced out a 9'2 Boss Poly with smart locks and snow flap and it was $8100 installed. Gotta love CND pricing. The funny thing is I paid $8800 back in 02.:cry:

Lazerslicer, I would just buy the parts that you need and install them. That plow looks brand new as it is. I know that does not answer your question but when I bought my truck it already had all the truck side parts so all i needed to do was buy the plow and controller and i was set. If it helps, I bought my plow and controller for $3700 OTD brand new in Iowa. Yes I live in Illinois but the price was unbeatable and it was only 250 miles away.

I have to agree, your going to pay alot of $ to get a poly and to me the steel works just fine. I think you should be able to get the truck side installed with controller for around $1000.

Well, looks like I could get into a blade only brand new for about $4000. So I would consider anything from $3000 to $3500 a good deal for what you are offering. If you could install truckside yourself, I bet you could get into it for as little as $700.

If you decide to keep plow and need all truckside harness and mount, look around for used.
I bought all my truckside from www.equipmentspecialistsinc.com . At the time they had the best prices, plus free shipping and no sales tax(out of state). Did the install myself, which was actually pretty easy.

The Boss part#'s for the controller kit, which comes with everything. Harness, controller, mounting bracket for plugs, bolts, ect... are as follows.

    MSC04726 SH2,RT3, V joystick controller Approx. $422

    MSC09603 SH2,RT3, V smarttouch2 controller Approx. $431

    Prices at equipmentspecialists.com

For the mount, expect to pay around $500 for a new one. There are used posted here and there, just have to look around. Ebay. Someone on here selling.

The steel blade is good, just spray it down with Fluid Film!

Just be happy you don't have to pay canadian prices! I just bought a plow in Buffalo, Ny and saved myself over $2100!! I dont know why any canadian would buy a plow in Canada as opposed to going accross the border to get one. I know you can't get your waranty work done in Canada, but for $2100 I think it is worth the trip accross the border again to get waranty work done.

5000.00 for the same specs on an 8'2". Hope that helps.
