Anyone ever do this? Is it worth it?

I need a motor for the spinner. But how and or what type of motor or gear drive do I use to run the drag chain?

If you have the spreader the cost to convert it is cheaper than buying a new one. It usually involves some metal fabrication, but it can been done. We're in the process of converting a hydraulic spreader to electric. The best way to get the part numbers you need is to google the parts list for a Buyers tailgate spreader (hydraulic version). The list will give you the part numbers for the spinner motor and the auger motor. Hope this helps.
