Ive got an old cable western on the backup truck, pump was acting up so put on my backup pump ( back up on the back up) this thing is making me crazy.. first wouldnt go up, adjusted relief valve on the front, than it won't go down unless i remove both screws front and back. now after hours of tweaking.... it lifts fine and falls right down.. the front relief has two o-rings and one seems to be missing. think this might be my issue ?

    thanks all..

you'd be amazed of the havoc a bad o-ring can cause on any hydraulic system - let alone one missing all together.

and having one that "fits" is much different than having the correct one.

The front valve is your lift valve. And yes, you have to have that o-ring.
