Anyone using the Buyers Tailgate Spreaders. I do not have large enough parking lots to justify a V-box spreader but thought a 600# tailgate spreader on the back of my truck would be nice. Was looking at Meyer because I run a Meyer plow but have heard some negative comments from other guys I know that have them. I do not know anyone running a Buyers. Any opinions? Thanks in advance.

    Snow Ex Vibrator Unit?

I see that Snow Ex offers a vibrator unit as an extra. Is there really a need? I've heard of guys who run straight ice melt through these tailgate spreaders are always having to get out and bang on the sides.

    snow ex and buyers

I have both and meyers on my trucks they each have good and bad points
    1. Snow ex. 575 low profile and has better auger system and mesh guard for chunks heavy gage plastic and the motor is enclosed so you dont knock it off
    2. Buyers lite gage plastic no screen and motor is not guarded and it must use dry clump free the auger does not break up the clumps need to change it with other brand
    3. Meyers heavy gage plastic Mini and Mini Jr. newer ones have rubber spinners and motors have guard for motor
They all will do the job but my personal choice is the snow ex but i use all of them with a few changes ... :waving:
