Question hopefully not a stupid one but, a little plow problem this morning with post event check. Has anyone had trouble with a BOSS plow that stays about 1 inch off the ground even in the float postion, any thoughts?

Is it a lifted truck? You banged into in curbs in the past events?

Not a lifted truck. Undercarriage is fine. Everything was fine during plowing. The plow is now one inch off the ground. I will take the controls to the "float, red light" position and it does not go down any further, it just stops at the one inch. I have tried to shake it up and down and nothing. Stood on the plow and it will go to the ground while standing on one side but not both at the same time.

That is why I am baffled I have no clue what has gone wrong

Support it with a floor jack and remove the upper lift cylider pin.

Will it now lower all the way to the ground when you remove the jack?

Now that's just silly, who could make that mistake:blush2:

Someone should have thought of that a number of posts ago.

If its one of his v plows it doesnt have a foot stand. Are you sure all the shoes/skids are adjusted right or off.. there are three of them on a boss v i believe, one at each outer corner and one in the center. You could have bent the center one and it is holding it up....
