I am looking for a plow for my 99 GMC k2500. I have found a Boss RT2 V-plow in real good condition. He is asking 1500 plus another 500 if I want the smartlock cylinders. It's mounted on a 98 GMC k3500.

    My questions are....
Will this mount right up to my truck or will I need different hardware? I have looked on Boss's website but could not find any information on this.
Is this a good price for this plow? Do they have any known issues I need to look for?

Anything you guys can tell me will be much appreciated. I am fairly new to plowing but I decided I wanted to bite the bullet and get my own.

    Thanks for all your help.

is your 99 /2500 and the 98/ 3500 the same body style?
Gm carried some of the one tons over a few years, in the what they call the "classic" body. (read old body) If they are different, my guess is the undercarriage wont interchange....

Heres a link to the Boss undercarriage manual pages.. http://service.bossplow.com/DocumentList.aspx?CategoryID=7&Type=2&Psa=y

BTW, you can find almost all the manuals in their website! Open the "Service Center" tab at the top of the homepage. then go to manuals in the left colmun... Also check out all the other links in the left hand margin. Lots of good info!
