bleeding brake 2001 silverado

    Do you need a scan tool to bleed brakes in 2001 1/2 ton?

    um no lol do it just like you would any other brakes

    You can bleed them without a scanner and get a satisfactory pedal....but you'll get even better results by opening the accumulator valves in the ABS unit with the scanner.

    Not all scanners have the necessary bi-directional controls to activate the accumulators...
