    is it necessary or recommended to put any type of rubber perservative on the bottom and sides or just leave it alone?

    No preservatives needed

    You won't need to put any preservative spray on the rubber. You can if you want to, but don't use any silicone based sprays. the best thing you can do for the SnowSport in storage is to keep it out of the sun. Similar to putting tire covers on an RV when it is stored. the sun is what does the most damage to rubber.

    All I do is wax the aluminum. Keeps the snow from sticking. I wash my truck and plow daily. The rubber still looks new after 2 years. Keep it in a shed in the summer.
