What do you guys think are the best size tires on a 16 x 7 rim for plowing ? I know the skinnier the tire, the better traction, correct ?

The truck dictates what size you can get away with. For this winter i am going to try a 235/85-16. It is a little shorter than a 33" but much narrower and should bite pretty well. I have some aggressive 285/75-16 Mudders now but i think they would float too much and not dig in.

The truck I have is a 96 Ram 1500. Just personal use plowing.
