I have a 2010 8'6 HD and when I raise the plow I hear an awful noise of metal rubbing grinding. I believe it is from the 3 pins that connect the triangle to the light tower and the lift cylinder to the triangle.

At first i thought it was the spring, but i removed that it wasn't the problem

    Any thoughts

Disconnect the pins and grease them up, re install and see if it cures it. I've also found cotter pins bent in a manner that they will rub against the underneath of the lift arm causing a scrapping noise.

The noise could also be coming from where the A frame connects to the headgear.
