I appreciate any feedback. The model I am looking at is the 2003 half ton version of the Avalanche.

Any recommendations on a plow and what should I expect to pay?

Are fiberglass plows a better option (weight)?

Most Poly plows weigh more due to the plastic needing additional bracing. How much plowing will you be doing? What kind of budget?

you will probably have to cut a fair amount of the plastic valance '7'1/2 boss standard plow is lighter than a ploy 7'1/2

I have an Avalance 2003 and have the Fisher Minute Mount 2 installed. Everything has been working great for almost 4 years(knock on wood). When installed they did cut some of the plastic away but, if you didn't know better, you would not even realize it.
