We are looking at our first spreader. The poly/electric units look pretty appealing, but can you spread straight sand out of these units? Is there a preference between augers and conveyors? I have looked at the Henderson Vbox that has a 10 hp gas engine and it is around $3500. The Western Tornado is around 4k as well as the snowex models. Snowex has an auger and the Tornado has a conveyor? Is that correct? We will be spreading primarily sand, so what would you experienced guys buy?
