I am wondering if there is anyway to adjust the lifting strength of my western electric pump. I had a 7.5' blade and a buddy gave me an 8' blade, and it seems to struggle lifting it. The pump sizes are the same it looks to me. Is there a bypass or something?

There should be a releif valve on the pressure side of the pump. But I'd have a gauge hooked up to it while you are adjusting because you wouldn't want to blow all the cylinder packings out by just cranking it.
