Wisconsin snowplow driver gets pregnant woman to hospital
Sat, 12/12/2009 - 10:26pm Human Interest Wisconsin
MONROE, Wis. (AP) A snowplow driver has the gratitude of a Green County woman who went into labor during this week's major snowstorm.
Jennifer Scace lives 10 minutes away from the hospital in Monroe.
But when she went into labor Wednesday morning, there was more than a foot of snow on the ground. Her husband Eric had time to clear only part of the driveway.
He gunned the engine, but his vehicle got stuck in a ditch. So he ran two blocks to ask a snowplow driver for help.
The driver couldn't free their car. So Jennifer hopped in and rode with the driver to the hospital. She says the ride was "very painful and very bumpy," but she arrived in time.
Brynlee Scace was born a few hours later.
The driver didn't return calls from WMTV-TV, which didn't identify the man.
