Was looking for a truck to buy online in the US and came across this F550....

From the first pic it looks like someone mounted a dually box to an F550 cab and chassis or a typical crew cab dually...

Then I scroll through the pics to see these ones...

cool looking,, but i bet it is a biotch getting anything out of the drawers. you have to bend over to get under the doors.

i really want to get one of the utility pickup bodys they put on the 2000 to 2002 superdutys for my 02, the kind that have the utility doors cut into the pickup bed sides, but they don't make them anymore

I never knew they made those! It would be just what I need to replace the rusted out box on my '01 F350.

They probably stopped b/c they rotted out so bad. I thought they were awesome when I first saw them too. I've seen a handfull in the past few years that are completely rotted out. Nice truck cabs, but a bed full of rot.

the word i got was they stopped making them because they did not sell very well. the target buyer was state and county road departments, and they are who bought them. but since state and county road departments keep their trucks forever, the sales numbers were not there to justify continued production.

Just my opinion .... I would not want that ..... Truck beds are double walled so dents and dings do not show up easily.

I bet it is fun opening them up when the fenders are packed with snow or mud
