Anybody know what this is for?

    This plug was on my truck when I bought it I have no idea what its for. Does anybody have an idea what this could be for?

    It looks like a plug for a topper.
    Inside cargo light and a brake light.

    use a test light and see?

    Some Chevy's have a wig wag hook up there????

    But usually Tahoe's and Sub's as well as Impalla's

    NOt sure though

    that truck must have had a topper on it..... Its used for the brake light for the topper. mine has the same plug

    I also have a plug like that that sticks about 6" out of the end post on the bed. At some point a previous owner took my 3rd brake light off and siliconed it back on with about 40lbs of silicone, they had it everywhere.

    Yes use a test light on it, especially if your want to cut it off! remember to turn on the lights and have someone else press on the break as well.
