Hello all. Like most I've been working on my plow truck n plow.
I guess I'm kinda old school. I have a couple of the older style cable rigs.
Been using the current one for 35 years. And currently mounting a new old one from a 67 chevy to a 83 F-250.
My current one of 35 years is on my 76 F-250 but it blew a transmission seal. I'll get to that job later. As it needs a couple other things.
And since I had a couple around I mounted one on my 59 case rubber tired backhoe. I will mount a control box on it also. Figure it can push dirt too. But great for stacking snow or having to have a plow with downforce.
Anyhows I like the old stuff like me.
A couple pictures.. I'm embarrassed for olblack in snow. I've got good pictures somewhere but it's been a great plow n truck. Upgrading to a 83.
Also plows on wheelers, little tractors. And my old backhoe. I put this together to finish out last year because olblacks tyranny finally had a small issue.
I enjoy machines so I here to learn more n maybe share my 40 some years of plowing snow in AK. Both professionally and now as a home owner

Welcome.
Is the case older than you?
With equipment as old as it is, I'm assuming you're no spring chicken either....coming from another old guy.

My phone is crappy. Are those donkeys?

Hello. Yeppers arctic donkeys. The moose are attracted to the hay we feed our rabbits.
I'm embarrassed for olblack sitting in the background. I do have some good pictures of the rebuilt 390 with n holley riser intake n 650 carb. 10.5/1 pistons. And it's a highboy.
Tyranny seal went and I had to finish out a couple more months of winter so I made up my ol case. We grew up in the same era. So we kinda know about each other. Also have a 73 Speedex tractor with a plow blade.
Got to got to have your own snow blade around here.
Thanks for all the atta boys n such. Looks like a good crowd

Yeah I'm concerned about gas mileage so I keep it chained up n ready to plow thousands of pounds of snow. That can be 2' deep. And because it has lots of horse power, plowing goes faster.
I'm building a 83 F-250 with a little 351 now for plowing and have a 90 F-250 with a 460 for towing my snogos.
Also not sure how the batteries will hold up when it's 20 below. And electricity costs a lot here. But thank you maybe later
