I had an airport that got me to plow their runway last year. They did not want me to use any kind of salt or icemelt. Said it was corrosive to aircraft. I know airports use something on runways I just do not know what it is. Anyone know?

Just guessing here, but I would say liquid. Beet juice maybe, or brine?

When we plowed at our local airport they supplied us with super sacks of urea pellets, we also used liquid but I forgot what it was

Around us if its a liquid its often a potassium acetate-based liquid. A common granular product is sodium formate. Both are ridiculously expensive. Only certain brands are FAA approved. We've used some of the stuff from Cryotech when we did ramps at an airport.

Sodium formate works and is approved by the FAA
