been having some recent air conditioning issues , not getting as cool as normal. i bought a can of the refridgerant , with a fill-hose and attached gauge. had the truck up to operating temperature , and A/C had been set to max for the amount of time on the can. i connected the hose ,(TO THE CORRECT PORT) and the reading on the gauge was above the full level ... is this possible , and how is it fixed, without spending a fortune

    thanks wil:dizzy:

Was the compressor clutch engaged and cycling when you got the full reading on the can gauge?

U cant really trust the gauge on a can. It does sound low but best to have the system evacuated, vacumed, dye added and recharged to the correct amount. Most places do it for around 60 70 bucks its worth it otherwise its just kind of guesswork without real gauges. And adding dye is a good measure incase of future problems.
