Well after 5 years of plowing on lawn mowers and fourwheelers I decided to add a plow to my truck. Picked it up for $800 and have about $50 in parts and about 20hr of my labor. Enjoy the pics, the plow is being lifted by a come along untill I finish getting the wiring done. I dont want to hook everything up incase I find a different truck to put it on before winter. Let me know what you think. I dont think it turned out to bad for a 17 year olds first plow.

When I first brought her home:

You paid 800 for the plow or truck? Nice set up though. That Trucks looks super clean and the the turning radius will be great

Thanks for the compliments guys. I paid $800 for just the plow. I have had the truck for the last 2 years. Truck is a 1997 with just over 200,000 on her. I am thinking about putting a little more money into her and beefing the truck up a little and keep it to plow residentials with. What do you guys think? Biggest downside is it is a manual transmission. I had planned to stick with just residential but I have been asked to bid some commercials this year so we will see what happens.

Thats an awesome setup- I think you'll be more than happy with it after giving it a shot this year- especially in driveway's.

You did a great job with that plow too! Having a 5 speed isn't a bad thing, it'll probably be less to maintain than an auto tranny, just get used to plowing with it and you'll be fine.
