accessory wire 08 2500hd

    Cant seem to find an accessory wire for a truck install im doing... trying to hook up the controller to accessory circuit so we dont drain the battery. havent looked behind the radio yet but im baffled they dont have any ignition wires under the steering column that i can find... any help is appreciated!

    if you have a test light. Check all fuses in the IP fuse block. Look for a fuse that isn't hot in off. That will be the one you want to tie into.

    Found three fuses in the underhood block but when controller is used on plow causes trans to shift erratically

    No, No ... under the dash ... Go to the auto parts store and get a fuse tap and put it on something like the wipers or key switched power plug

    There is no panel under the dash its on side of the dash and all fuses in there are constant..

    Ill try wiper circuit or radio I suppose

    In the underhood panel use the "SEOB1" or "SEOB2" fuses depending on what is has (you didn't provide enough truck details). Either one should be keyed ignition. Use a testlight to verify.
