Here's the scenario:
I bought a 7 1/2' Fisher Minute Mount I plow for my '02 F-250 last year. I refinished it, painted the headgear, and got it mounted up. My cousin has an 8' Minute Mount I, and has an older 8' blade and A-frame sitting around.
I've been trying to get this mounted to my headgear, and ran into a snag today. The width between the 'ears' on the A-frame (the ear being the piece of metal with three holes in it that connect the A-frame to the headgear) that was still mounted to the spare 8' blade was 25". The width on my A-frame is 22.5". I need to run the A-frame that came with the spare blade, because the distance from the center pin to the back of the trapezoidal frame piece welded to the frame is about 2" different, so the pieces welded on the a-frame that tuck under the trapezoidal frame welded to the blade don't line up.
Hopefully I've explained this correctly. In any case, my question is whether or not the headgear is different between the 7.5' minute mount I setups, and the 8'+ minute mount I setups. I think I may end up just fabbing a A-frame to work with the 8' blade I have, because it's not all that complicated, but I was just kind of curious.
