What size sockect is needed to remove the front wheel hubs from the spindle on a '99 Chevy Silv. 2500 4x4?

If it is the same as my 02 Serria, it's a 1 1/2 or 36mm, with 106ft lbs.

I believe bison is referring to the fasteners that hold the hub bearing assembly to the spindle/steering knuckle...not the axle shaft nut.

Should take a 15mm...some need a 12 point. And they torque to 133 ft. lbs.

Axle nut torques to 177 ft lbs.
